OUR WORK:
Since 2020, The Accountability Initiative has done extensive work in our community through our two committees. Our Gun Violence Committee is a group of young college students dedicated to reducing gun violence both in the City of Philadelphia and nationwide. Our Education Committee is comprised of both high school and college students committed to ensuring that everyone has an equitable and fair experience while attending school, while providing mentorship and promoting the importance of a diverse curriculum that celebrates different backgrounds.
Current Project
#100StoriesCampaign
Starting January 2023, the Temple University Chapter of The Accountability Initiative and the Gun Violence Committee are looking to gather 100 Stories of individuals who have been affected by gun violence in Philadelphia. The objective of this campaign is to amplify the voices of these individuals, and share their experiences to current and prospective city leaders in an effort to highlight the urgency on the matter and demand change.
